For the fourth time in five years, Four Roses Distillery was named “Whisky Distiller of the Year – America” by Whisky Magazine.
The 2015 American Whisky Distiller of the Year award was presented to Four Roses earlier this week during Whisky Magazine’s “Icons of Whisky Awards – America” which took place in Bardstown during the Kentucky Bourbon Festival.
The annual Icons of Whisky Awards are “designed to celebrate the people and places behind the great whiskies of the world.”
Four Roses will compete for the world title next spring against winners of the equivalent award in Scotland and other countries.
“What an honor it is to have received this award four of the last five years,” said Four Roses Master Distiller Jim Rutledge. “I’m so proud of how far we’ve come, and excited about what the future holds for Four Roses.”
Four Roses also took home other awards, including Visitor Center Manager of the Year for Julie Gorham and Highly Commended Brand Ambassador of the Year for Al Young.
