A Nod to Our Rich 132-Year History

The holidays often are some of the best times to toast each other with a fine Bourbon. Over our 132-year history, we’ve seen many memorable holidays, so let’s take a look back at some of our favorite vintage holiday advertisements.

One of our best-known ads was first introduced in 1933, and again in 1936, and to this day, we still receive many requests for the Four Roses Eggnog recipe it featured. The eggnog quickly became a favorite holiday tradition for many, as people would clip the ad, fold it and put it in the family cookbook to surface time and time again during the holidays.

In later years, as we continued to evolve our Bourbons, different versions of the advertisement published, but featured the same classic recipe and elegant silver punch bowl and cups. Although this year’s holiday season may look a little different from years past, we hope you are able to enjoy some down time and we look forward to celebrating again with you very soon.
