BRENT’S PICK: KENTUCKY DERBY

For us at Four Roses, and most Kentuckians, we begin celebrating the Kentucky Derby weeks leading up to the greatest two minutes in sports! Each year, we team up with the Kentucky Derby Festival to participate in several local events. I always enjoy the opportunity to mingle with many of you, and celebrate Bourbon as part of the entire Kentucky Derby experience.

Attending the Kentucky Derby Festival events has become my personal Derby tradition. For me, it begins in early March with the Rose Julep Cocktail Competition at Festival Unveiled and continues through BourbonVille and The Great Steamboat Race. Each year, Four Roses also releases a Kentucky Derby Festival Poster Special Selection Single Barrel. I always enjoy meeting up with the Kentucky Derby Festival representatives each year to select the barrel for this commemorative Bourbon bottling.

This year, I’ll be spending Derby day at home, with family and friends and mint julep in-hand. Whether you are attending one of the Kentucky Derby Festival events, the Oaks, the Derby, or watching the Race from outside of Kentucky, I encourage you to raise a glass of Four Roses to celebrate the occasion.
