Employee Spotlight: Jill Pendygraft

We spent some time talking with Jill Pendygraft, manager of sponsorships & events, for an inside look at her role with Four Roses. Take a Mellow Moment to enjoy a pour of Four Roses and meet Jill!

Jill began her career as the assistant marketing manager at Four Roses in 2008 and has worn many hats over the years until she was promoted to the sponsorships & events manager this January. If you have attended a Four Roses event over the past 13 years in Kentucky or even across the country, you may have had the opportunity to meet Jill, as she greeted you with a smile and a cocktail.  

Working side-by-side with Master Distiller Brent Elliott and many of the Four Roses departments Jill organizes and runs all kinds of promotional, business and social events. From planning, managing partners/sponsors, to set-up and execution, Jill has played a huge role in the success of our brand by making Mellow Moments accessible to each of you.

What responsibilities does your job title hold?

I’ve worn many hats during my 13 years at Four Roses. My current position includes reviewing potential sponsorship opportunities, preserving current sponsor relationships, as well as organizing and executing event activations.  
 
What do you most look forward to day-to-day?

I’m a people-person. I enjoy interacting with our members and guests the most. Not being able to host any in-person events in 2020 was very difficult for me, so I’m very much looking forward to being able to share more mellow moments with each of you in the near future.
 
What event(s) are you looking forward to this year and how do they look different from events in the past?

I’m really excited about the return of the Railbird Festival at Keeneland this August because the 2019 inaugural event was fantastic. Although this year will come with its own challenges due to social distancing protocols and extra precautions, I know we will all enjoy listening to music and sipping on Four Roses with our friends.  
 
What has been your favorite event to plan for Four Roses so far?

It’s hard to decide what has been my favorite since I’ve enjoyed so many. But if I had to pick one, I’d say the Forecastle Festival because those activations include a Welcome Reception, the Bourbon Lodge and the Media Lounge, among others. Plus, I’m fortunate to have great relationships with our partners, so they make the process much easier.
 
How do you spend your time outside of work?

When I’m not working, I enjoy attending concerts and music festivals or taking my camper out for a relaxing weekend.
 
How do you drink Four Roses?

I drink Four Roses Bourbon in cocktails or Four Roses Small Batch on the rocks.
 
Describe what a #MellowMoment means to you.

A #MellowMoment to me would be sitting around a campfire with friends and family, enjoying each other’s company.
