When we think of Summer, the first thing we think of is sipping on a nice pour of Small Batch on the rocks out on a front porch. The second thing we think of is grilling, because what would summer be without it? We don’t want to imagine it. Actually, we think summer wouldn’t be nearly as fun if we couldn’t have hamburgers and grilled vegetables.

It’s the season of baseball games, swimming pools, and early morning fishing trips. But, there’s nothing like a day outside in your backyard with your closest friends and family sipping on your favorite Bourbon. Sure, you might play a game or two of corn hole, but we think the real fun happens at the grill. You can put almost anything on it and it’s likely going to taste amazing.

That said, you can always level up your grill master skills. Try taking your burger out of the box and into the bottle this summer with a Bourbon Glaze made with our classic Four Roses Bourbon.

 

This glaze is a little sweet with a lot of depth in flavor thanks to the spice and brown sugar combination. It is thick and clings to the burger as it cooks, giving your burger a rich and complex taste. Pour yourself a glass and get to cooking, friend. You have guests to impress!

Four Roses Bourbon Glaze

  • 2 tbsp Four Roses Bourbon
  • 2 tbsp Turbinado sugar
  • ½ tsp Ground cumin
  • ¼ tsp Ground coriander
  • ¼ tsp Smoked paprika
  • ½ tsp Salt
  • ⅛ cup Water

Combine ingredients in a saucepan over medium-low heat. Stir and cook until slightly thick and simmering. Remove from heat to cool.

Cook burgers as desired, glazing after you flip. Place burger on bun and top as desired, add a bit more glaze and enjoy! Use this glaze on vegan/vegetarian burgers, steak, chicken, and more. Be sure to share your creations with us on social media.
