Helping the Salt River

Kentucky’s Salt River is important to Four Roses and to all of Kentucky as a valuable natural resource. The Salt River is particularly important to us because we couldn’t produce our award-winning Bourbons without its limestone-rich water. Each year Four Roses employees participate in the Salt River Clean Up to help maintain the riverbank.

 

The 150-mile spring-fed river flows beside the Four Roses Distillery in Lawrenceburg and stretches east to near Parksville, Kentucky and west to the Ohio River near West Point. Our team volunteered to remove debris from the dam and concrete area, as well as the highway where it forks on each side of the river, and along the roadway. We want to help preserve the Salt River for today, tomorrow and the future.
