Bourbon Smash
A crowd-pleaser, the Bourbon Smash cocktail, is simple to make and easy to enjoy. We are sharing our favorite ways to make it -- both a traditional and a modern-day twist.
Ingredients
- 2 fl oz
- Four Roses Small Batch
- ¾ fl oz
- Simple syrup
- ½
- Lemon (sliced into wedges)
- 5
- Mint leaves
- Garnish
- Sprig of mint
Directions
Traditional:
Muddle lemon wedges and mint in the bottom of the serving glass. Add Bourbon, simple syrup, and ice. Swizzle or use a spoon to incorporate. Garnish
Modern:
Muddle mint in the bottom of the shaker tin. Combine Bourbon, simple syrup, and lemon juice. Shake for fifteen seconds, or until the cocktail is well chilled. Double strain over fresh ice into a rocks glass. Garnish
